Just because you "build it," doesn't mean that "they will come."

That's because, oftentimes, people hire web designers based on the LOWEST BID. But design is very much like plastic surgery. Would you trust your face to the lowest bidder? I know I wouldn't... not that I need a facelift... yet. :)

Your website is often the first real experience a potential customer will have with your business. If you understand just how difficult it is to attract new customers, then you'll understand how important it is that you make a HUGE impression on that potential customer the moment they land on your site.

Winning that new customer or losing that customer happens in roughly 30 seconds... or less.

So, before you hire a web designer, understand that a great website is much more than just a nice looking site.

And, if you think that ALL web designers understand how to design a site to help to increase your sales, I'm here to tell you that there is an "art" to both designing and selling, but that's where the similarity ends.
